I did the first tattoo in this shop on August 19, 2014. Thank you for two years of being able to work solo. I appreciate your business, your friendship, and your support.
Our primary intention has always been to make the shop a place where you can get tattooed in a licensed professional environment that is relaxed and respectful.

Over this past weekend, Ben Keller has been painting our shop's front window. We wanted to improve it's look for some time, but also avoid soulless vinyl lettering. Another friend and customer turned us on to Ben, who works out of Willimantic, Connecticut. We collaborated on the final design and were able to do the same during execution. That's not always possible on a project like this, but in this case it was. Thank you, Ben, for a great job!

Thanks for your support!
Thank you for a busy past few weeks. It's been great to meet new customers and reconnect with old ones. We're grateful for your friendship and support. Let us know how we can help you. Friendly reminder: Sunblock protects your tattoos from fading.
Participation in our support of Project Semicolon to promote awareness of mental health issues has been strong. Learn more about that in our Facebook post here:

It's important to make clear to our customers and the public that your business, your friendship, and your interest is sincerely appreciated. We're glad to answer your questions. One of our definite priorities has been to make it a place where those who chose to get tattooed can have that done in a licensed professional environment that is relaxed and respectful. Hopefully, we've been successful. If you have any suggestions or opinions, please let us know.
There are a few people waiting for assistance with their designs. I appreciate their patience, too.
Our customers are a blessing. Thank you, again.
Now is the time.
If a foot tattoo is something you've considered or want, now is the perfect time to get it. The weather is warmer and you're not required to be in socks and shoes; you can wear flip-flops or sandals, so you're healing tattoo can be exposed to the air. The beach and swimming season hasn't yet started, so you've got time for the tattoo to heal before being exposed to sun and water. Get in touch or stop by the shop if you have questions, need advice, or want to set up an appointment.
Our website has undergone a facelift. We wanted it easier to access on mobile devices since we're on our phones everywhere. We wanted you to be able to quickly see some recent work, and also have access to an expanded portfolio so you can get an idea of what our work is like. We also want it to be clear who we are, where we are, and how to get in touch with us.
Please let us know if you encounter any issues or have any questions. We appreciate your business and your interest in our work. Thank you!
Putnam's Summer Street Fair Starts May 1
This Friday, May 1, Red Spider Tattoo will have a booth at the opening First Fridays event in downtown Putnam. Stop by to discuss that tattoo you've been thinking about, view our portfolio, pick up a business card, or just say hello. We're here to answer any questions you might have.
First Fridays is an art-based street festival held in downtown Putnam, CT, on the first Friday of each month from May through October. There is live music, art exhibitions, demonstrations, performances, and vendors, all on downtown's blocked-off Main Street. It's family-friendly and a great way to begin the month while discovering Putnam for yourself.
